By using East Village Hub, you agree to these terms. Please read them before using the site.

About East Village Hub

East Village Hub ("EVH", "we", "us") is an independent, non-commercial community resource for residents of East Village, E20 in Stratford, London. It is operated under the trading name East Village Hub and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to GetLiving, East Village Management Limited (EVML), Triathlon Homes, Notting Hill Genesis, or any other estate management or housing company.

Use of this site

The information on East Village Hub is provided in good faith for general community information purposes. We aim for accuracy but we do not guarantee that all content is complete, current, or error-free.

Nothing on this site constitutes professional, legal, financial, medical, or regulatory advice. You should seek independent professional advice before acting on any information you find here.

You may use this site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You must not:

• Use the site for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the site or its systems
• Scrape or reproduce EVH content for commercial use without permission

Community submissions

Residents and businesses may submit content to EVH (events, recommendations, community groups, dog profiles, business edits, etc.). By submitting content you:

• Confirm that you have the right to submit it and that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge
• Grant East Village Hub a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and reproduce it on the site
• Agree that EVH may edit or decline to publish submissions at its discretion

You must not submit content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, discriminatory, or that infringes someone else's intellectual property.

My E20 resident accounts

My E20 is an optional resident account that layers saves, follows, notifications, a neighbour directory, and signed submissions on top of the public site. By creating a My E20 account you confirm that:

• You are 16 or older.
• You live in, or have a genuine connection to, East Village, E20. The onboarding flow asks for an E20 postcode and sends a verification email before your account is marked as verified.
• Your display name is either your real name or a recognisable pseudonym - not the name of someone else, not a public figure's name, not offensive, and not misleading.
• You will not create multiple accounts to circumvent limits, manipulate the neighbour directory, or skew tracker data.

EVH reserves the right to suspend or delete any My E20 account that violates these terms at its discretion.

Community posting identity

As a verified resident you may optionally attach your display name to community tracker submissions (Sippi parking, parcel thefts, and similar) by ticking the "Post this under my display name" box at submission time. If you do:

• Your display name becomes publicly visible alongside that specific submission wherever individual reports are shown.
• The submission is linked to your account internally so it appears in your dashboard's "Your past submissions" list.
• If you later delete your account, your display name is stripped from the submission and the link to your account is cleared. The submission content itself remains in the public record anonymously.

Attaching your identity is entirely opt-in per submission. Anonymous tracker submissions remain fully supported and are the default.

Neighbour directory

The neighbour directory is an opt-in listing of verified residents that other signed-in verified residents can browse. By opting in you agree that your display name, building, interests, and a count of your public submissions may be displayed to other signed-in residents. You can opt out at any time from your profile page; your entry is removed immediately. You must not use the directory to spam, harass, or contact other residents outside of East Village Hub.

Community safety reporting

East Village Hub provides two community-sourced reporting tools: district heating outage reports and phone theft reports. By submitting a report you confirm that:

• The report is genuine and relates to an actual incident or outage you have experienced or directly witnessed.
• You will not submit false, duplicate, or deliberately misleading reports.

Reports are aggregated and displayed publicly. Heating outage reports contribute to building-level performance rankings, weather-correlated analysis, and an independent long-term record of district heating performance. Phone theft reports are displayed as a heatmap and monthly count. All reports are community-sourced and unverified - EVH makes no representation as to the accuracy of individual reports and accepts no liability for decisions made in reliance on them. EVH reserves the right to reset or remove report data at its discretion.

Is This Normal?

"Is This Normal?" is an anonymised community tool that lets residents ask questions about living in East Village. Answers are generated by an AI model (Claude, by Anthropic) and are grounded in aggregated data from previous resident submissions. By using this tool you confirm that:

• You are a resident of, or have a genuine connection to, East Village, E20.
• You will not attempt to manipulate or flood the tool with false, spam, or deliberately misleading submissions.
• You understand that answers are AI-generated and based on aggregated community reports. They are not professional, legal, financial, or technical advice and should not be relied upon as such.
• Your submission (in anonymised and aggregated form) may be used to inform answers given to other residents now and in the future.

Use is limited to 5 questions per IP address per 24-hour period. EVH reserves the right to adjust or withdraw this feature at any time.

Search and AI-generated answers

The site search feature uses an AI model (Claude Haiku, by Anthropic) to generate contextual answers based on published site content. By using the search feature you acknowledge that:

• Search answers are AI-generated and are provided for general information purposes only. They are not professional, legal, financial, medical, or safety-critical advice and should not be relied upon as such.
• AI-generated answers may not reflect the most current information - always check official sources for anything urgent or safety-related.
• If you have accepted analytics cookies, the text of your search queries may be stored anonymously to help improve the site's search suggestions. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Business listings

Business listings on EVH are provided as a free community service. Inclusion in the directory does not constitute endorsement of any business by East Village Hub. Business owners are responsible for the accuracy of the information they submit through the Business Portal. EVH reserves the right to remove or decline any listing at its discretion.

Resident offers

Resident offers listed on EVH are provided by third-party businesses, not by East Village Hub. EVH takes no responsibility for the quality, availability, terms, or fulfilment of any offer. Disputes regarding offers should be raised directly with the business concerned.

Discord community

EVH operates a community Discord server for supporters. Access to the Discord server is subject to Discord's Terms of Service and any channel rules posted within the server. EVH accepts no liability for content posted by members within the Discord community. EVH reserves the right to remove any member from the server at its discretion.

Patreon and supporter credits

Supporting EVH on Patreon is entirely voluntary. By becoming a supporter you agree that your chosen display name and supporter tier may be displayed publicly on the East Village Hub website (on the About page and in the footer credits strip). You can ask us to update or remove your display name at any time by contacting hello@eastvillagehub.co.uk. Patreon payments and billing are handled entirely by Patreon and are subject to Patreon's Terms of Use.

Intellectual property

The East Village Hub name, logo, and original content (articles, guides, FAQs) are © East Village Hub. Fair use for personal, non-commercial purposes is permitted. If you'd like to reproduce EVH content elsewhere, please get in touch first.

Community-submitted content (photos, descriptions, etc.) remains the property of the original contributor; EVH holds a licence to display it as described above.

Limitation of liability

East Village Hub is provided on an "as is" basis without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, East Village Hub accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content, including but not limited to errors, omissions, service interruptions, or third-party content.

EVH links to third-party websites for your convenience. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of any external site.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
